Our very first Picnic & Paint event was nothing short of magical.

Originally planned for Ward’s Island, we quickly realized upon arrival that the island was bustling and packed. But as they say, everything happens for a reason. After some quick thinking and teamwork, we found the perfect spot nearby—right by the lake, under the cool shade of towering trees. It was as if this serene location had been waiting for us all along.

The weather couldn’t have been more perfect. With the gentle summer breeze and sparkling lake as our backdrop, attendees settled in with their painting supplies, ready to unleash their creativity.

As the afternoon unfolded, the blank canvases transformed into stunning works of art. Each painting was unique, reflecting the creativity and spirit of its creator. Watching the smiles and pride as everyone shared their finished pieces was truly heartwarming.

The day was made even sweeter with the most refreshing mocktails, generously sponsored by Moose’s Mocktails. Each sip added to the joy of the moment as sisters connected, laughed, and shared stories.

Though the event didn’t go exactly as planned, it turned out even better than we could have imagined. The overwhelming turnout and the positive energy from everyone who attended reminded us why we started hosting events in the first place—to bring people together and create meaningful experiences.
